Some wounds don't heal

Some wounds don't heal.

Because to heal, they have to die.

And they don't— the irony. 

They just lie asleep. 

They do snore.

And it's easy to wake them,

Like newborns.

Just a breeze of thought,

They wake up, crying, 

and sometimes, smiling…
